Become a Pot of Gold Fundraiser!

Help Emily’s Rainbow Run & Family Walk meet our goal for this year’s event by becoming a fundraiser.

All event proceeds benefit Emily’s Rainbow Fund whose mission is to support pediatric cancer research at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and create awareness of childhood cancers.

To date Emily’s Rainbow Fund has given $68,500 in memory of a courageous and inspiring young cancer patient, Emily Lewis.

Meeting our mission’s goals takes commitment and a united effort. Together we can take a step to cure pediatric cancer and improve the lives of children affected by the disease. Please join us!

2011 Race Summary

We had a huge success for Emily’s Rainbow Run & Family Walk held on Sunday, April 10th! Between all 3 events (4-mile, 2-mile and kids run) we had over 860 registered participants, over 100 volunteers, increased sponsorship and a great amount of community support. It was a fun-filled event!

Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital awarded the Emily Lewis Youth in Philanthropy Award to Anderson “Andie” Liauw at the race. This award is given annually to a youth who demonstrates Emily’s enthusiasm, spirit, and zest for life in philanthropic support of Rainbow’s children. Andie is a 10 year old cancer survivor who attends St. Mary’s in Avon. She inspired, encouraged and organized her Girl Scout Troop to collect presents during the last two holiday seasons to be given to patients who are hospitalized. Emily would be very proud of this year’s recipient!

Donations are still being accepted either on-line (using active.com or mailed in Emily’s Rainbow Fund, PO Box 451194, Westlake, OH 44145). We all can continue to take a step or stride to fund childhood cancer research and help more children celebrate future birthdays.
